Ellen Berra, Senior Analyst with the
Provider Outreach & Education (POE) department has over 28 years
experience in the Medicare program and has been in POE since 1996.
Ellen's experience in Medicare includes Claims, Appeals,
Congressional Inquiries, and Fair Hearings. She has lead many teams
in creating Medicare educational material for standard educational
topics and specific material for specialty societies and
associations. She contributes educational articles on many different
subject to the Website, the e-News and Communiqué. Ellen's most
recent project has been involved in providing education to reduce
the error rate on Evaluation and Management (E/M) services. Ellen is
the chairperson of the Provider Outreach & Education Advisory
Group advising Medicare on educational topics needed by the provider
community and provides feedback on the presentations created.
