A NEW TYPE OF INVOLVEMENT IN THE GREATER ST. LOUIS MGMA

mentor (Noun) - 1) a wise and trusted counselor or teacher. 2) an influential senior sponsor or supporter.

protege (Noun) - a person who received support and protection from an influential patron who furthers the protege's career.

Which definition fits you best?

The MGMA of Greater St. Louis invites you to participate in the 2012 Mentor Program.  This is an opportunity for experienced practice managers to share knowledge with less experienced practice managers and supervisors. 

Participation Requirements
Mentors

  • Active member of MGMA of Greater St. Louis (Practice Manager or Business Partner, as appropriate)
  •  >4 years of practice management experience
  • 8+ years of medical practice experience
  • Willingness to meet with protégés on a regular basis
  • One (1) year commitment, minimum of 12 hours per year (at least 6 times per year)
  • Each mentor may have as many as 2 proteges

Protégés

  • Active member of MGMA of Greater St. Louis
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in supervisory and/or management in a medical practice 5+ years of medical practice experience
  • Willingness to meet with mentors on a regular basis
  • One (1) year commitment, minimum of 12 hours per year (at least 6 times per year)
